Crystal River Bank of America Employee Free Choice Act and Healthcare Combined Information Drive

On 7/18/2009, workers and retirees, from the West Central Florida Federation of Labor and the North Central Florida Central Labor Council, combined their strengths with the Citrus County DEC to show their distrust of Bank of America: which funneled millions of dollars of taxypayer money to lobbyists in order to fight the Employee Free Choice Act in Congress. Handing out information pertaining to the Act, as well as to Healthcare reform, workers and Labor leaders spoke with the community about the benefits of the AFL-CIO's legislative proposals, and more importantly about the right to freely join a union and how the Act would give a clearer path to form a union for workers.
